September Salutations, Subscriber Full Name

Sound and music are two of our favorite things. I mean, duh - we’re a Podcasting studio….

But, seriously. From the moment we’re born, we’re bathed in sound. Babies get lullabies, weddings get love songs, Brooklyn has Seltzer King Pods, and even kitchens have their own soundtrack. Sound, beats, clanks - it’s our life’s background music, and when we create it together, something shifts—we stop feeling like solo acts and like part of the band.

Our brains have wiring for music. When we sing, drum, dance, we’re given a precious reward of an endorphin cocktail. Delicious.

And thats before the synchrony factor! When this happens in unison, oh boy. Heart rates, breathing, and even brain waves can start syncing up. Like group telepathy. Now, you’re not just singing with people—you’re singing as people, one collective sound. Cool, right?

We hope that feeling is reminiscent of SK. We strive to make our community as inclusive, welcoming, and together as possible. Listening to our pods, reading our newsletters, coming to our shows—we want every space to feel like a safe one. We are so grateful to each of you for making up our soundtrack!

I Love You, But…Your Music Sucks!

Talking about sounds, it’s only appropriate to start here.

Our newest ‘pod on the network is taking the soundwaves by storm. If you haven’t yet had a chance to listen, now’s a good month to start.

Married duo C&C are covering plenty of fun musicians this month, including the one and only Dr Hook, not related to Captain. Mya! They’re even doing a Dr. John vs Lil Jon episode that we are confident will heal our nation. Don’t miss it - and maybe send it to your parents, too.

September is a big ol’ grab bag full of topics we’ve been meaning to do but haven’t!

Things will kick off with a cool, refreshing episode about the wine cooler craze of the 80’s (who was there?) and then we start on a run of shows about the most influential pop star of Generation X: Michael Bolton…

KIDDING! Ha. We are finally, of course, talking about the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Things should get…interesting.

In the background, the guys have been tightening up their latest and greatest script for the Halloween special in the next few weeks!

We Time Traveled in Newburgh!

Think back to June 10, 2025, when the Wrigley brothers, better known as Big Pete (Michael C. Maronna) and Little Pete (Danny Tamberelli) hosted Nostalgia Personified!

With the help of our very own Jeremy Balon, the pair guided a crowd of nostalgia lovers through a whirlwind tour of commercials and The Adventures of Pete & Pete clips that felt like hitting play on that VHS tape from your parents’ basement since 1994.

It was a blast. We are so incredibly grateful for the wonderful turnout - thanks to everyone who came out to laugh, cheer, and sigh over the throwbacks.
